As a proud daughter of Northern New Mexico, I know that democracy works best when elected officials are accountable to the communities they serve, not corporate special interests. I’ve fought to protect Native American and Latino voters from gerrymandering and helped pass legislation to require early voting sites in our rural communities. My commitment to push comprehensive campaign finance reform builds upon my lifetime of championing voting rights. I will continue to fight in Congress to restore our democracy to the people, ensure that all Americans have full voting rights, overturn Citizens United, and promote public campaign financing.
