Rejecting corporate PAC money and fighting to protect the right to vote
As a proud daughter of Northern New Mexico, I know that democracy works best when elected officials are accountable to the communities they serve, not corporate special interests. I’ve fought to protect Native American and Latino voters from gerrymandering and helped pass legislation to require early voting sites in our rural communities. My commitment to push comprehensive campaign finance reform builds upon my lifetime of championing voting rights. In Congress, I will continue the fight to restore our democracy to the people, to overturn Citizens United, and promote public campaign financing.
My campaign is not taking any corporate PAC money and I’m proud to be endorsed by End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV).
“From advocating for voting rights, promoting tribal sovereignty, and securing millions to build infrastructure, Teresa Leger Fernandez has dedicated her career as an attorney fighting for New Mexicans and will continue to do so in Congress,” said ECU and LAV President Tiffany Muller. “Leger Fernandez will stand up to Big Money special interests and root out corruption in Washington, delivering results for New Mexico and not corporations. We’re proud to endorse Teresa Leger Fernandez, and we look forward to helping her win.”
