SANTA FE, NM - Teresa Leger Fernandez won re-election for New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District tonight. The race was first called at 7:49 p.m. MT by KOAT, and called by multiple media outlets thereafter.

Teresa Leger Fernandez’s campaign for Congress released the following statement on her victory in the race for New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District:

“I’m grateful that the voters of the beautiful and beautifully diverse Third Congressional District will send me to a third term in Congress. I promise to keep taking their voices, stories, and struggles to Washington, D.C where together we can address the issues we face and the dreams we seek.

I am inspired by Nuevo Mexico's acequias where everyone works together to clean the ditch and owns a little piece of the stream.

I believe that every American owns a little piece of the American dream. We build the American dream when we work together to build each other up. We build the American dream when we recognize we are part of something bigger and work to make it better.

En Nuevo Mexico, sabemos que no hay un otro, solamente nosotros - there is no other, there is only an us - and we are stronger when we work together. I will continue working every day to serve and fight for our diverse communities, and to deliver on what New Mexicans need. Muchísimas gracias!” - Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez
